WE ARE LOOKING FOR PRODUCT RESPONSIBLE BIOOIL FOR ONE OF EUROPE'S LARGEST BIOCARBON PRODUCTION PLANTS
Did you know that for every ton of biocarbon that replaces fossil coal in the production of metals, we reduce fossil CO2 emissions by up to five tons? The metallurgical industry produces materials that we are completely dependent on to live modern lives, and with biocarbon as a reduction material, we enable major emission cuts.
At Hønefoss we are now building Vow Green Metals' first large-scale biocarbon production plant (one of Europe's largest). The main product from the production plant is biocarbon, which will replace fossil reduction materials in metal production. The plant's production capacity for the next few years has already been sold in full to the metallurgical companies Elkem and Outokumpu. The production plant will also produce bio-oil, which can replace fossil oil in many industries, and bioenergy that can be used in surrounding industry and for the production of district heating.

The Product Manager Biooil will play a central role in the technical development and realization of VGM's biooil products. The position involves responsibility for building and managing the technical knowledge base that ensures that the products meet customer needs, industrial requirements and commercial goals. You will work closely with the commercial department to understand market requirements, and are responsible for translating this into process data, analysis procedures and product development.
The role has overall responsibility for ensuring that VGM has the correct process data, analysis instruments and procedures at all times to ensure quality and predictability in product development.

The position reports to the CTO and The workplace is Hønefoss or Lilleaker.

Work tasks

• Map and update an overview of customer requirements and features for your own product.
• Translate market and customer needs into technical solutions, for example through the selection of technology and process parameters.
• Collect, structure and quality assure process data for use in product development and commercialization.
• Work closely with the commercial department to support product commercialization and customer portfolio development.
• Establish and further develop work procedures and routines for analysis of raw materials, intermediate products and finished products.
• Ensure that quality and production goals are achieved through systematic work with processes, analyses and documentation.

Education and desired qualifications

• Higher relevant technical education
• Solid experience from a similar role
• Good professional insight, technical understanding and good results to show
• You have an understanding of the industry, can act professionally and have a commercial mindset
• It is an advantage to have an understanding of the process
• Operational experience from production environments and/or from research-related environments
• Fluent in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language and English at a good level, both spoken and written.
