Carpenter / Foreman – manages Polish shift workers in the construction of modular buildings in Norway

Rogaland Bygg & Mur AS is looking for a foreman with a carpentry background

We are growing and are now looking for a supervisor with practical experience and professional expertise in the carpentry trade. The position involves extensive travel in Norway, and you will have a central role in leading our Polish assembly teams. You will actively participate on site, together with the assemblers. Our projects include the assembly of barracks buildings for leading players in the oil and gas, construction and civil engineering industries, etc.

Job duties:

• Participate actively as a construction manager on site, together with the fitters in fixed rotations
• Lead and coordinate assembly teams from Poland
• Ensure quality, progress and HSE on projects
• Travel: Approximately 80 % of time spent on site, and 20 % office
• Contribute to effective communication between company, customers and workers

Qualifications:

• Certificate as a carpenter – minimum five years of experience
• Carpentry background and preferably with experience from construction management/project management
• Fluent language skills in Polish and Norwegian/English
• Flexible and willing to travel (must be comfortable flying)
• Structured, independent and result-oriented
• Certificate for car class B
• Resident in North Jæren

Scope of responsibilities:
· Nadzor i aktywny udzial w pracy na budowie razem z ekipa montazowa.
· Kierowanie i koordynowanie pracy polskich zespolow.
· Dbanie o jakosc wykonanya, terminowosc i opskebanie zasad BHP.
· Czeste ivyjazy sluzbowe (ok. 80% czasu w delegacji, 20% w biurze).
· Zebzenienie sprawnej komunikacija miedzy firma, klientem i prakonikami.

Requirements:
· Wyksztalcenie zawodowe / dyplom czeladnika w zawodzie ciesli i minimum 5 lat doswiadczenia.
· Mile widziane doswiadczenie w kierowaniu budowa lub prowadzeniu projektow.
· Bardzo dobra znajomosc jezyka polskiego oraz norweskiego lub angielskiego.
· Gotowosc do czestych podrozy sluzbowych i brak problemow z lataniem samolotem.
· Umiejetnosc pracy samodzelnej i dobrej organizazionej.
· Driving license category B.
· Place of residence: Nord-Jaeren.
