BIM MEP Coordinator – Infrastructure Tunnels, Bridges and Roads
Sotra Link Construction is building the new Sotrasambandet – a comprehensive and groundbreaking road project that will improve the connection between Bergen and Øygarden municipality. The project includes 9.4 km of four-lane motorway, including tunnels, bridges and pedestrian and cycle paths. This is the largest single contract the Norwegian Public Roads Administration has ever signed. Temp-Team AS department Bergen has been assigned to find an experienced and skilled BIM MEP coordinator to strengthen the Sotra Link Construction team within large infrastructure projects such as tunnels, bridges and roads. You will have a central role in coordinating and developing BIM models for technical installations (MEP), and help ensure quality, efficiency and innovation in Sotra Link Construction's projects.
Areas of responsibility
- Manage and quality assure detailed MEP BIM models according to international standards (e.g. ISO 19650).
- Coordinate MEP systems with civil, structural and architectural models.
- Support design and construction teams with accurate and timely BIM deliverables.
- Perform clash checking and model validation using tools such as Navisworks and Revit.
- Generate working drawings, production drawings and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction site to integrate field data into the BIM model.
- Maintain BIM documentation, standards and workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate VTS systems and tunnel-specific MEP components into the BIM environment.
- Participate in coordination meetings and contribute with visualizations and simulations.
- Support digital construction processes and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM practices.
Qualifications
- Solid experience with MEP BIM operations, of which at least 2 years within infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of tunnel, road and bridge-related MEP systems and VTS integration.
- Good knowledge of international BIM standards and local building regulations.
- BIM certification is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle large models and data sets.
- Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and BIM 360.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Certificate, technical vocational school or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.
